Sumaridge Estate Wines

Sumaridge Estate Wines lies gracefully between two mountain ranges in Upper Hemel-en-Aarde (“Heaven and Earth”) Valley, Hermanus in South Africa, around 110 kilometers from Cape Town International Airport.

Here, the mountain vineyards offer heady views of the Atlantic Ocean, responsible for the cool maritime climate which helps create wonderfully balanced wines that age extraordinarily well.

Owned by the Bellingham Turner family, Simon and his wife Holly bought the estate in 2008. They divide their time between Hermanus and their home back in Suffolk, UK. They are joined by a team of dedicated workers, including winemaker Gavin Patterson and teams handling the farm, cellar room, dining room and tasting room.

Sumaridge Estate Wines are happy to accommodate any guests to their tasting room and dining room, with its wonderful views across the Debos dam, through Onrus to beyond Betty’s Bay.

If you want to stay for a while there is The Lodge that is available book for longer stays, giving you the opportunity to explore the beauty of the landscape and enjoy the wine.
