Champagne Nicolas Maillart is the first Champagne to be labelised HVE (high environmental value) and sustainable viticulture in recognition for their environmental and economic performance. These labels take into account criteria such as biodiversity, pest strategy, water management and fertilization.
Nicolas Maillart only have vines in the Premier and Grand Cru villages of the Montagne de Reims. Having long since settled in the area and become wholly familiar with the vineyards, their ancestors were able to keep and select the best terroirs. Added to which, the vines are well-established, mostly planted halfway up the hillside ideally located for producing excellent quality wines.
