A Cocktail For Christmas Cooking

Christmas Cooking Cocktails

When in the Kitchen this year, crafting a heavenly display, a feast fit for royalty, make sure it doesn’t become a bore, pop on a movie or boogie to some music, and enjoy a fine glass of Sparkling Wine or a delicious Christmas Cocktail.

The Rosey Red Cocktail has been created for the heroes in the kitchen this Christmas and over the winter season, preparing and presenting perhaps the most loved meal of the whole year, this Cocktail is meant to capture the wonderful Winter Warmer flavours of the festive season, using a Rosé Champagne from Roger-Constant Lemaire and a Sloe Gin from Hernö Gin, the first Swedish Gin Company.

The Champagne – Roger-Constant Lemaire

Champagne Roger-Constant Lemaire is led by brothers Guillaume (winemaker) and Sébastien (head of international marketing and sales) with guidance from their parents Gilles and Brigitte.

Their story begins in the 19th century, with a man who was both a gardener and poet, Mr. Désiré Lemaire was the one who bought the first pieces of land in Hautvilliers, which became the epicentre to the Maison Roger-Constant Lemaire

It wasn’t until 1945, when his grandson, Roger-Constant, had the vision to expand, he doubled the area of the estate and moved the epicentre of the family to Villers-sous-Châtillon.

Then it was Roger-Constant’s daughter, Brigitte Lemaire, and her husband, a talented young winemaker by the name of Gilles Tournant, who breathed further life into their family tradition, combined with their children Sébastien and Guillaume, they continued producing exceptional Champagne, forging their own path.

The Sloe Gin – Hernö

The proud creators of the first Swedish Gin

Hernö Gin was founded by Jon Hillgren in 2011, he originally discovered the wonderful flavours of Gin in 1999, when he started working in a London Bar.

Once Hernö Gin had launched its first Swedish Gin on the 1st of December 2012, it was placed in three local Systembolaget stores and on that day in Härnösand people were queuing up in front of the only liquor store, to get hold of the first bottles of Hernö Gin.

A decade later, with years of improvements and innovation behind them, in 2021, Hernö Gin had 5,000 guests visit the distillery and the Hernö Gin Bistro opened. In 2022 Hernö Gin opened the Hernö Gin Bar in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, offering world class cocktails, gin tastings and other taste experiences to visitors from across the globe.

With a wonderful selection of Gins, a Bistro, Bar and specialised tastings, Hernö Gin doesn’t just offer you a Gin, they offer you an experience.

Hernö Sloe Gin Tasting Notes “Sloe berries combine with black pepper and nuttiness, which blends with bark and forest floor which incorporates vanilla and juniper berries. A sweet red berry jammy sweetness welcomes the palate with dried red/purple flowers and a gentle creamy nuttiness.”
