Celebrate New Beginnings with Bubbly

5th September 2016

Years after leaving school, September still evokes images of crunching over newly-fallen leaves in new shoes on crisp mornings, new pencils and empty exercise books and a sense of possibility and starting afresh.  It remains a turning point in the year.  Parents are sending children to primary or secondary school or even university for the first time, new students are looking to make a good impression on their housemates and thoughts turn towards new jobs: graduate schemes start and September is allegedly one of the high points of the job-searching cycle.  What better way to celebrate your personal new beginning than with a Glass of Bubbly.

Sending a child to school for the very first time is always a milestone, especially if they’re your first, last, or only child.  While they’re enjoying all the new sights and sounds of their first day, why not get some other parents in the same position together to enjoy some bubbly?  Celebrate new beginnings and support each other through concerns about how your children are getting on with Italia Collezione Sparkling Rosé.

A child going to secondary school is just as much of a milestone.  Getting together all the new equipment they need, getting them out of the door at an earlier time and seeing them go from being among the biggest children in their old school to the smallest children in their new school can be an exhausting and emotional experience.  Relax when they’re in bed after their first day with Cuvée Royale Brut Crémant de Limoux NV.

University is another milestone, for both parent and child.  You want your child to become independent, have amazing experiences and make a success of themselves at university, but you know you’re going to miss them and want to make their last night at home memorable.  Celebrate their new adventure with Lanson Black Label Brut NV.

A few weeks ago we were advising you on bubblies for your A Level results party; now you’re at university, you need to make new friends!  On the first night, it’s traditional for flatmates to gather in the kitchen to get to know one another before heading off to a freshers’ club night.  Break the ice and make a good impression by bringing some Fillipo Sansovino Prosecco.  You could even pack a few inexpensive fruits, juices and syrups and impress your new neighbours even more with some Prosecco cocktails.

September is also a key time to start a new job; graduate schemes start up, teachers and academics change schools or universities and the job market livens up after the annual July-August slump.  Celebrate exciting new challenges, a change of routine and a (hopefully) better pay packet with Taittinger Brut Réserve NV.
