Celebrity Interview: Brandon Phillips
21st December 2015
5 Goal Professional Polo Player
Brandon is Canadian born and at the age of 17 was called up to Wellington, Palm Beach (the epicentre of the polo Stateside) to form part of one of the high goal teams and has not looked back since, having made Wellington his home and having won many of the game’s revered trophies. He regularly represents Canada and plays globally.
This year he’s playing amongst others in Palm Beach, Mexico, Toronto and Germany as well as fitting in some modelling work for the gentleman’s neckwear brand Bull and Moose, one of the companies for which he is a brand ambassador. He’s known as a superb player, especially strong with his penalty taking but also a great horseman and an all round good guy. He has a yard full of 20 plus ponies to keep him mounted as after all it is generally accepted that the ponies count for 70% of the partnership between the horse and rider on the field. He himself overcame Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma as a teenager and like Nic and Kris is regularly involved with charitable causes as well as giving back to the community.
As to Champagne this is what he had to say (watch out ladies):
Where’s the most memorable place you’ve ever enjoyed a Glass of Bubbly?
Between a pair of double D breasts.
Which is your favourite Champagne or sparkling wine?
What does Champagne mean to you?
D: Enjoying great company
