19th December 2017

Congratulations to Champagne Château de Boursault with their Prestige which received a Gold medal at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly awards 2017.

A panel of 36 top industry wine judges tasted all the entries for 2017 and were able to not only scores wines with medals, but also place them in to easy to understand categories such as Classic & Elegant: “This will likely be a stylish wine showing balance with a refined quality.

“The vineyard, dominating the left bank of the Marne valley in the heart of Champagne, has a rare feature in Champagne: almost all our vines are located around the Château de Boursault, enclosed by walls inside which you will find our winery, our cellars and our wine press. The concept of local produce takes on its full meaning here, with a unique knowledge and expertise of the compatibility between vineyards, land and climate. This know-how is accompanied by a strong ecological awareness, which has earned the Champagne Château de Boursault two awards for Sustainable Viticulture and High Environmental Value.” Quote from website

I am proud to say that I have been invited to this wonderful winery and the most magnificent chateau that this label owns, in some ways it is what everyone imagines the world of Champagne to be, that prestigious and inspirational lifestyle. Champagne Château de Boursault is most certainly a winery to place on your must visit list if you ever find yourself in the region of Champagne. I was pleased to have a private tasting there with son of the owner Alex Fringhian and I am not surprised that they have shone at our awards with a gold.” Christopher Walkey
