Champagne de Castelnau Brut

Blending is fundamental to the production of any Champagne and totally dependent on the skills and experience of the chief winemaker and his team.

Our Winemaker’s comments:

The colour is a brilliant pale gold; the mousse is lively but creamy, forming a delicate but persistent stream of bubbles. The nose is fresh and reminiscent of stone fruits with a touch of barley sugar. On the palate, the wine is lively but gentle with the stone fruit notes more clearly defined as hints of apricot, white peach and wild peaches leading to touches of bay, eucalyptus and blond tobacco on the finish. The spontaneity and charm of this Brut Champagne make it a natural temptation anytime, day or night.

Food and wine matching: To be enjoyed especially on its own rather than with a meal, it will also accompany lighter cold canapés such as mini brochettes of fresh fruit, cherries or dices of crystallised ginger.

Blend :
82 % Pinot Noir
