French wine exports reached record value last year of €11.7bn, this was an 8.7% increase in value terms on 2014 and an all-time high after two consecutive years of declines. This was mainly thanks to Champagne.

Champagne sales outside of France were worth nearly €2.7bn. Champagne exports grew by nearly 5% in volume and by 12.1% in value.

The U.S. was the number one market for French wines last year, with nearly a 25% increase in value of French wines purchased.
