Champagne Vollereaux

Vollereaux is the fruit of five generations of family traditions. Born into a wine making family established in Pierry and Moussy, since 1805, it was the end of the Great War that Victor Vollereaux decided to promote his champagne by himself.

He achieved his first vintage in 1923 and offered his production to a circle of friends and relations.  This operation was repeated from year to year.

Little by little he constituted his stock, and found a faithful circle of customers who became the base on which Vollereaux S.A. was founded. The business grew steadily thanks to the work of everyone from generation to generation.

Victor, followed by Paul-Jules, Jean-Marc and Pierre. Today Vollereaux S.A. is directed by Pierre Vollereaux, and there still exists the same spirit of co-operation between his children.

The Family Vineyard of 40 hectares ensures a constant and regular supply of grapes, which contributes to the quality of Champagne Vollereaux.  The distribution of the vineyard plots over the main vintages of the champagne region enables the family to produce three grape varieties.

Chardonnay producing white grapes, and Pinot Noir and Meunier, producing black grapes.  Four years are needed for their wine to improve in the houses traditional cellars, before they are available for us to drink.

CUVÉE MARGUERITE VINTAGE 2007

The robe with green reflections is adorned with fine bubbles that lightly feed a thin collar of dazzling whiteness. These nuances suggest an elegant Champagne with great finesse.
Aromas of lime are mixed with fine floral notes (honeysuckle and acacia) and white fruit (pear juice, white peach). They all together express a subtle mineral frame that gives full expression of elegance to this Champagne.
