Chocolate, Vanilla or Strawberry – The Perfect Ice Cream Cocktail

16th February 2021

Sparkling Ice Cream Cocktail

Ice cream or Prosecco, which one would you like? How about both? I’ve chosen to use Neapolitan Ice Cream to create 3 different varieties of cocktails, each using the Bisol Prosecco and each containing a few scoops of Ice Cream.

Neapolitan Ice Cream originated in Naples, Italy and contains three different flavours, including Vanilla, Strawberry & Chocolate, it’s going to be interesting to see how the Prosecco works with the ice creams.

Sparkling Wine – Bisol

Bisol has been around for 5 centuries, since 1542 and has had 21 generations creating great tasting wine, the only time Bisol was interrupted was during the First World War, the Valdobbiadene territory (where Bisol is located) laid right on the battle lines between the Austrian-Hungarian forces and their opponents, the Italians, but in 1920 they were back on track.

Bisol – Crede Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Tasting Notes

This Prosecco Won a Silver Medal in the Sea Breeze Category at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly Awards 2020.

Conclusion

The aromas on these cocktails stuck very much to the flavour of the ice cream, i.e. the chocolate ice cream cocktail had a chocolatey aroma and not much from the Prosecco, where the Prosecco shone was in the flavour, it combined brilliantly in these cocktails, you were able to get both the flavours from the Prosecco and the Ice cream without the cocktail being too sweet or one flavour dominating the other. These Cocktails would be wonderful on a sunny day.
