Home Alone, released on November 16th 1990 (USA) and December 7th 1990 in the UK, starring Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern as comedy bad guy duo and John Candy, the film took in $476.7 million in the box office and the music was composed by John Williams who has composed songs for countless classic films like, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Harry Potter and Saving Private Ryan.

There are 5 films in the Home Alone franchise with Ryan Reynolds currently wanting to create a sixth, the two most popular and most loved are the first two films which both starred Macaulay Culkin, Home Alone & Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, the other films are Home Alone 3, Home Alone 4 & Home Alone: The Holiday Heist, with all three of them, starting a different main actor.

Home Alone – Did You Know?

1. The Film Uncle Buck was responsible for giving John Hughes the idea to create Home Alone, Macaulay Culkin also started in Uncle Buck. John Huges was a part of a bunch of classic films including, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Sixteen Candles.

2. Over 100 kids auditioned to play Kevin Mccallister, but the role was actually written for Macaulay Culkin who did get cast as Kevin.

3. Robert De Niro and Jon Lovitz both turned down the role of Harry Lime which Joe Pesci got.

4. Joe Pesci decided to use Method acting when paying Harry Lime.

5. John Candy took less than 1 day to finish all his filming in Home Alone, it took him 23hours, his character was inspired by his role in Planes, Trains & Automobiles.

6. The first draft of the Home Alone script was completed in just 9 days.

  • Sweets
  • Manchester Drinks Co Watermelon Crush Liqueur

How To Make

  1. Pour in 120mls of Cranberry Juice.
  2. 15mls of Manchester Drinks Co Watermelon Crush Liqueur
  3. 200mls of Sparkling Wine
  4. Drop in around 7 Cranberries
  5. Then fill with sweets of your choice

Flavours – “Sweeter style cocktail, with watermelon and pink floral flavours with a fizziness on the tongue.”
