Gaudinat-Boivin Grande Réserve

7th October 2014

Gaudinat-Boivin Grande Réserve

A roughly equal combination of white and black grapes (45% chardonnay, 40% pinot meunier, 15% pinot noir) from several harvests and ages for 3 years in a bottle.

Tasting notes

An excellent Champagne presenting a pretty golden colour, enticing aromas of white flowers and fruit with a generous harmony of honey and fresh fruit on the palate.

The intense golden hue and the stream of tiny bubbles are the first things you notice. The nose is very floral with acaci, white flowers and yellow fruit such as apricot and peaches coing through strongly.

On the palate there’s a lively effervenscence and a whole spectrum of flavours. Absolutely perfect as an aperitif.

Food matching suggestions

As well as being perfect to serve at elegant cocktails parties, you’ll find that Grande Réserve is an ideal match with veal and pork dishes too.
