Chucky Cocktails

“Hi, I’m Chucky. Wanna Play?”

Welcome to a new year of spooky Cocktails, where we choose a Halloween film and create a fitting Cocktail to go alongside, I’ll give you a little history into each film and the know-how to create a delicious Cocktail.

Chucky

Get ready to act like you’re having fun while playing with the serial killer doll, Chucky, because he’s back to make our lives hell, there’s only one thing that can satisfy him this time and that’s a well made Chucky inspired Cocktail, which we’ll make a bit later, first let’s explore a bit about the Chucky franchise.

“I Got My Sights Set On Bigger Game.”

Let’s meet our antagonist, he goes by the name of Chucky, but his full name is Charles Lee ‘Chucky’ Ray, once a human who was known as the Lakeshore Strangler, the character got his full name from some of the world’s most notorious killers, including Charles Manson, Lee Harvey Oswald and James Earl Ray.

The original title for Child’s Play was ‘Batteries Not Included’, with Chucky instead being called ‘Buddy’ coming to life after Andy mixed his blood with the doll’s fake blood. This was changed by John Lafia to get the story we know today.

“Now The Joke’s On You.”

It took a team of 9 puppeteers to control the original Chucky doll, each operating a different part of the body, Howard Berger, the special effects shop supervisor once said it took us 27 takes to just get Chucky to hit a button to electrocute a doctor.

“A True Classic Never Goes Out Of Style.”
