Welcome to a new year of spooky Cocktails, where we choose a Halloween show and create a fitting Cocktail to go alongside, I’ll give you a little history of each show and the know-how to create a delicious Cocktail.

Stranger Things

Stranger Things is a show that everyone, even your grandma is likely to have heard about, it took the world by storm in 2016 and continued to grow up throughout its new seasons, expanding its universe outside of the Nexlifx show into Video Games, interactive experiences and merchandise.

Currently, Season 4 of Stranger Things is the 2nd most watched show on Netflix, with it gaining an incredible 1.35 billion hours watched, if you’re interested, it was beaten out of first place by Season 1 of Squid Game with 1.65 billion hours watched. But even the 3rd Season of Stranger Things took 7th place in the list, with 582.1 million hours watched.

The dark mystery show propelled some relatively unknown young actors into the spotlight, along with shining the light back on some classics, like Winona Ryder who starred in Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands.

Currently, the gossip going around is that Season 5 of Stranger Things, which has been confirmed, but with no release date, is set to be the show’s final season, bringing the much-loved adventure to an end, and you can be guaranteed that it will be a phenomenal conclusion, but we will all have to wait and see for ourselves.

The Sparkling Wine – Midas Prosecco

Located in Bournemouth, they bring the Prosecco over from Italy, where they sell online and to local hospitality establishments, you can find it in many places around the local area.

Their vines are refreshed by the sea breeze from the Adriatic, some of their vines are over 40 years old.

They also put a lot of effort into their sustainability efforts, they don’t use any weed killers in their vineyards and use renewable energy whenever they can, their Proseccos are also Vegan Friendly.

Their Rosé contains 90% Glera and 10% Pinot Nero to give its blush colour. You’ll often find that Prosecco spends between 10-30 days on the lees, whereas Midas stays in contact for 120 days.

Aroma – ” Sweet red cherries, strawberries jelly candy sweets, raspberries, vanilla and raspberry ripple ice cream and hints of waffle with pink icing sugar on top.”

Flavour – “Soft pink floral, pink blossom strawberries, strawberry sweets, unripe raspberries, cherry blossom and deeper red berries on the palate.”

Amáre Vodka

Amáre Vodka has recently added two flavoured Vodkas to their range, with one of them being Strawberry flavoured, each of their Vodkas are 5 times distilled, the reason? Studies have apparently proven that the cleaner the alcohol, the less impact it has on the body.

The company was founded by three friends, Jake Chapman-Brown, Isaac Mayne and reality star Callum Alexandre Izzard, their Amàre Vodka is distilled in Yorkshire using the finest British ingredients.

Ingredients

• Sparkling Wine
• Coca Cola
• Vodka
• Waffle

How To Make The Starcourt Cocktail

Use a tin opener to remove the top of a coke can

1. Pour in 20mls of Vodka
2. 100mls of Coca Cola
3. Then top up with 100mls of Sparkling Wine
4. Place on a Mini Waffle as a Garnish

Flavours – “Very enjoyable and easy to drink, similar characters to the aroma, jelly strawberry candy, coca-cola, cherry cola, pink floral and raspberries on the palate.”
