Jon Burgerman collaborates exclusively with Luc Belaire

Luc Belaire, the premium French wine brand, announce an exclusive collaboration with world-renowned artist Jon Burgerman. The partnership will see the artist launch two limited edition, luxury woven picnic blankets with Luc Belaire.

The UK born, New York based artist, designer and illustrator, who has exhibited alongside a long list of celebrated names including Vivienne Westwood, Damien Hirst and Banksy, will launch the collection to tie in with the approaching al fresco season.

Jon Burgerman commented: “Luc Belaire is a brand that embodies high style with a sense of enjoyment, and for me any partnership I undertake needs to have synergy with the work I do. It has been great to collaborate on this fun project. Who wouldn’t want happy people sitting and rolling around on top of your art?! Having a picnic outside, in the haze of summer, with friends and lovers, eating and drinking and generally not doing all that much is one of the great joys of life.

If these blankets can be a small part of that then that makes me very happy. I fully intend to slap on some sun block and quaff some bubbly whilst lying upon my blanket, drawing in my sketchbook and eating cheese, as soon as possible.”

Each Belaire blanket features Burgerman’s instantly recognizable, hand-drawn artwork inspired by summer fun and the stylish aesthetic of Belaire’s iconic blank bottle and signature pink Rosé, whilst reinforcing an intrinsic summer rite of passage – to enjoy delicious food and drink outside.

The first design features Burgerman’s iconic characters reveling in summer pursuits, surrounded by French iconography, including bottles of Belaire bubbly. The second is a hand written typographic exploration of words we associate with the enjoyment of summer.

Jon’s expressive doodle based works are inspirational, fun and above all covetable, elements which further enrich Belaire’s existing appeal and sensibility.
