Love Me or Hate Me, Either Way I’m Yours – Marmalade Cocktail
13th April 2023
Enjoyed by James Bond and Paddington Bear, Marmalade has a couple of very famous characters sharing it with the world and Glass of Bubbly wanted to do its part, by crafting a Marmalade Cocktail.
Other than his memorable personality and clothing, one of the most associated things with Paddington Bear is his love of marmalade sandwiches, if you think marmalade, Paddington Bear isn’t too far behind, and when James Bond starts his day right, he’s partial to a helping of Marmalade, Ian Fleming wrote in From Russia With Love, “Breakfast was Bond’s favourite meal of the day.” with Bond enjoying eggs, preferably scrambled, with bacon or sausages, along with some toast with either marmalade or strawberry jam.
The Sparkling Wine – Radgonske Gorice
The biggest and one of the most well-known Slovenian Sparkling Wineries is Radgonske Gorice, producing Sparkling Wine for everyone, supplying Slovenian Supermarkets and offering something a little more aged and complex for the wine connoisseur.
Radgonske Gorice is also the oldest Sparkling Wine producer in Slovenia, they started 170 years ago in 1852 and now produce 4,500,000 liters of wine every year, with a production that high, it makes sense that Radgonske Gorice is the largest producer of Sparkling Wine in Slovenia.

The Gin – Slingsby
Beginning in North Yorkshire, in the town of Harrogate, Slingsby Gin was founded by Marcus Black and Mike Carthy who both embarked on this adventure together, it took over 15 months and 18 different variants of Gin blends before finding the perfect recipe.
The inspiration for the name ‘Slingsby’ came from the real William Slingsby who in 1571 discovered the unique properties of the natural spring water from Harrogate’s Tewit Well. His discovery brought thousands of visitors to ‘take the waters’ which were thought to have medicinal properties and to this day, people from all over the world visit the spa town to restore their body, mind and soul.
Slingsby Gin’s mission is to capture the ‘Spirit of Harrogate’ and deliver it in a bottle for you to enjoy from anywhere in the world.
