Congratulations to Montelliana with their Montelliana Asolo Prosecco DOCG extra dry which received a bronze medal at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly awards 2017.

A panel of 36 top industry wine judges tasted all the entries for 2017 and were able to not only scores wines with medals, but also place them in to easy to understand categories such as Summer Days: “Does not have to be a highly complicated wine. Will offer a light, fruity and easy going taste.

Cantina Montelliana distinguished itself in recent years for producing excellent Prosecco wine doc: the best of the zone. As evidenced by the many awards received, particularly for the Asolo Prosecco DOCG, our winery is committed to produce sparkling wines increasingly genuine and top quality.” Quote from website.

From a careful selection of grapes and from an accurate vinification we obtained a sparkling wine that with its own fineness and freshness expresses all the characteristics of our territory. It is a pale straw yellow with greenish glints and has a characteristic fruity aroma with a slightly sweet, flavoursome and lingering taste. Ideal as an aperitif or to accompany desserts. This limited production has to be drunk young. Serve at 8-10°C.” Quote from website.

Cantina Montelliane is located in one of the worlds finest sparkling wine regions, Asolo, with a wonderful hilly landscape producing some of the best Glera grape in the Prosecco region. The winery itself has certainly built itself up to be a leading name in the world of fine sparkling wines and the wines currently produced certainly convey all that the region of Asolo has to offer in taste and style.

I am lucky that I have visited by Cantina Montelliana and the wine region of Asolo, I have seen and tasted first hand the quality of wines produced. The style of Prosecco from Asolo is very unique and certainly, a must taste for any Prosecco lover, dare I say that unless you have tried a Prosecco from Asolo, then you have not truly experienced Prosecco.” Christopher Walkey
