Noble Cuvées from Champagne Lanson
12th November 2014
Produced from a careful selection of grapes from Grand Crus only, Noble Cuvée is the very essence of the Lanson Style.
Brut Vintage 2000
After a viticultural year marked by climatic variations, good weather, coming back at the right moment, finally allowed for a considerably bountiful harvest and a high level of quality.
The last vintage of the century is characterised by a high sugar level, – and low acidity.
Characteristics which, in liaison with its excellent clean condition, remind us of certain famous vintages. To create its Noble Cuvée Brut 2000, Lanson selected 2 “Grand Cru” villages from the Cote des Blancs: Avize and Oger – and a reputable Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims: the “Grand Cru” village of Verzenay.
While remaining faithful to the Lanson trademark style, the Noble Cuvée Brut Rosé delights the senses in an explosive mix of a thousand aromas which will set the taste buds of true connoisseurs tingling. In order to remain faithful to the LANSON style, only the most refined cuvées of the Grand Crus were selected. Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, is the soul of this blend.
The neighbouring villages, Oger, Le Mesni-sur-Oger, Cramant and Chouilly, bring their delicate body with sublte flavours. The Verzenay and Bouzy pinots make the colour pink, complete the aromatic palette and contribute to the depth of this cuvée.
Blanc de Blancs
After a year in the vineyard marked by veryvaried weather conditions, the fine weatherreturned at just the right time, allowing us topick an abundant, very high quality harvest. Thegrapes had a high sugar content with lowacidity.
These characteristics, combined with anexcellent state of health, remind us of certainwell known vintages.LANSON selected two grand crus from the Côtedes Blancs, AVIZE and CRAMANT, to produceour Noble Cuvée Blanc de Blancs 2000.
