Vodka and Fizz Cocktail

Is it just me, or does Vodka from the country of Iceland sound exciting to drink, in this Fizz Cocktail article, I use Iceland Vodka and Slovenian Sparkling Wine to create a unique Pink Iceberg Cocktail.

The Sparkling Wine

Vina Pulec – Penina Pulec – Tasting Notes

Aroma 👃 “A fresh air expression of green apple, green pear, apple blossom and white floral aromas.”

Flavour 👅 “A full fizzy exhibition of ripe/creamy green fruits, floral, green apples and a touch of chalky herbs on the palate.”

Silver Medal Winner in the Summer Days Category at the Glass of Bubbly Awards 2021

The Pulec estate is situated in the Slovenian village of Plešivo, right on the border with Italy, where the sunny hills of the Goriška brda begin to descend into the Friuli plain.

This is where the Pulec family has been producing their award-winning for generations, the farm is managed by father Radko, who has been benevolent in passing on his years of experience and knowledge in the field of winemaking and viticulture to his younger son Mitja.

The Vodka

Reyka Vodka is a small batch, handcrafted Vodka from the country of Iceland, available in the supermarket of Tesco, I personal am a fan of the design of this bottle, the light blue and clearly detailed labeling, even their website is a sight to behold, creative and visually appealing pictures take up the whole page and make you want to keep scrolling down.

The water they use for their Vodka flows through a 4,000-year-old lava field, making it some of the purest water in the world and they use their underground volcanoes to produce geothermal energy which is very environmentally friendly.

Aroma 👃 “Vodka takes on an almost expressionless character, but this Iceland vodka is smooth, very much creamy.”

Flavour 👅 “Flavour also takes on a creamy character, smooth with the classic vodka taste.”

The Cocktail

Aroma 👃 “Red Berries take over this display with hints of green fruits in the background on the aroma.”

Flavour 👅 “A touch of herbal, with bitter red berries, and cool, smooth and refreshing chalky green fruits, it takes on characters from all the ingredients at different times during the taste.”
