Something Blue Cocktail For Your Wedding

“Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue”

Your Wedding Day should be a moment to remember together forever, and when upholding one of the most famous wedding traditions, which originally started in England during the Victorian Era, we’ve got you covered with Something Blue.

This day should be perfect, it should be magical, so to ensure that every aspect lives up to your wildest dreams, I’ve created an original Sparkling Wine Cocktail that will excite your taste buds, impress your guests and forever be remembered as your Something Blue.

The Bleu Sparkling Wine – Luc Belaire

Belaire Bleu is said to be a perfect harmony of the old world and the new. Nothing draws in a crowd like a bottle of Blue Sparkling Wine, we all love to see it, something uniquely different from what we normally get to experience can often elicit a dopamine response in the brain, speaking to the rest of your body, saying, ‘I Want This’, and after tasting it, I can confidently say, ‘I Want More Of This’, it’s fun, it’s enjoyable to drink, it doesn’t just look exciting, it tastes exciting too, taking your palate back to your childhood days of candy sweets and Slush Puppies, it makes you want to relive those fond memories.

So for your Wedding, it will excite your guests, please their palates and look absolutely stunning in the pictures.

Belaire Bleu Sparkling Wine – Tasting Notes

Aroma – “Slush Puppie blue raspberry, candy sweets, blueberry candy, with hints of tropical fruits, very enjoyable to experience.”

Flavour – “Delicate, the palate is almost an exact repeat of the aroma, it delivers a very clever sweetness and dryness at the same time, with blue raspberry Slush Puppie, blueberry candy, soft, chewy sweets on the palate, its a very fun Sparkling Wine to drink, perfect for special occasions, celebratory moments and just for those moments when you want to live.”

The Something Blue Gin

The Story of Something Blue Gin is certainly worth a read in its entirety, especially if you wanted to buy a few bottles for your special day, you can read it all here: Our Story

From an untapped love of making booze and a bond of love & companionship, in early 2017, Colin & Jessica McLean founded McLean’s Gin, starting with hand-crafting in batches of no more than 100L from their Gin Lab on the outskirts of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire. The Something Blue Gin first came into this world to celebrate their marriage on the 2nd of June 2018, they released a limited run of 150 bottles, Something Blue sold out in a matter of days.

They would then put it through some changes, re-release it, rebrand it, and then in late 2021, their brand-new, matt-coated, screen-printed Something Blue bottle, which took almost two years to design, hit the market and offered other couples in love the chance to enjoy Something Blue on their wedding day.

The lace print? It’s hand-illustrated by a fantastic Glasgow artist and based on Jessica’s very own wedding dress.
