The Sweet Taste Of Jasmine's Lips Sparkling Wine from Argentina

Once in a while, you get a taste, a taste of something so out there that it stimulates every aspect of your mind and tongue, a taste so glorious that it requires a second sip.

We’re exploring a range of Sparkling wines from the South American country of Argentina.

The World of Wine and Argentina are closely connected, with a population of 46 million +, the country is home to over 2000 wineries, and around 218,232 hectares of vineyards producing wines and sparkling wines, a lot whom which are open to the public, offering tours and tastings.

The wine export value of Argentina sits at over 655 million euros, with their largest client being the United States, they exported 47.5 million litres to them in 2018, worth an estimated 212.6 million dollars.

Despite the millions of litres of wine leaving the country each year, it only accounts for around 20% of Argentina’s total wine production, with 63% of it believed to be their vintage Malbec. Other than the United States, they export to countries like the United Kingdom, Brazil, Spain and Canada.

As to the routes of Argentinean Wine, the Spanish transported Vines from Spain over to Argentina during the early Age of Discovery, the first time a European stepped foot into Argentina was in 1502. The city of Santiago del Estero serves as a birthplace for Argentinean Wine, housing the first commercial Vineyard in 1557, planted by Jesuit Missionaries.

The Taste of Jasmine Monet

Jasmine Monet is convinced that the terroir on which the grapes are grown, determines the personality and mood of a good Sparkling Wine, that’s why they’ve chosen several vineyards from the Gualtallary and Valle de Uco areas, they found the soil and climate to be perfect for the production of their Sparkling Wines.

With a great passion for respecting the environment, being sustainable and working for the future, they protect their terroir, to ensure that in generations to come, it can still produce the quality levels we get to taste today.
