Top 3 Expensive Champagnes

1 – Gout de Diamants is possibly the most expensive wine in the world. It was created by Shammi Shinh, owner of a luxury outlet in London. It first gathered attention for the Swarowski crystal embedded in the centre of the white-gold plate on the bottle. Without the crystal, the bottle will cost £147,000. With the crystal, expect to pay over a million pounds.

2 – Dom Perignon Charles & Diana 1961 was released in the same year Princess Diana was born and was the official Champagne at her royal wedding. This signifcant historical importance paired with it’s limited release means the Champagne costs around £2,740 per bottle.

3 – Krug 1996 Clos D’Ambonnay comes with a £1,700 price tag per bottle. Krug is often associated with aristocracy, but due to this particular Champagne’s rich flavour and rareness (only 3,000 produced) the price is higher than usual.
