Turtle Beach Cocktail Glass of Bubbly

Amongst the oldest creatures on earth, the Sea Turtle has been around and remained essentially unchanged for over 110 million years, due to their current endangerment, Lost Years Rum has partnered with ‘SEE Turtle’ to help save the Sea Turtles from extinction.

This Glass of Bubbly Cocktail, the Turtle Beach Cocktail has been created using one of Lost Years’ Rums and a Slovenian Sparkling Wine from one of the country’s most famous producers, to craft a Cocktail in honour of the Sea Turtle.

The Sparkling Wine – Radgonske Gorice

The biggest and one of the most well-known Slovenian Sparkling Wineries is Radgonske Gorice, producing Sparkling Wine for everyone, supplying Slovenian Supermarkets and offering something a little more aged and complex for the wine connoisseur.

Radgonske Gorice is also the oldest Sparkling Wine producer in Slovenia, they started 170 years ago in 1852 and now produce 4,500,000 litres of wine every year, with a production that high, it makes sense that Radgonske Gorice is the largest producer of Sparkling Wine in Slovenia.

The Rum – Lost Years

Lost Years Rum was created with a devotion to saving the wonderful but sadly endangered sea turtles. Created in 2019 when the Smith family was on holiday in Jamaica, the inspiration came from their son’s love of sea turtles, Lee & Trudy Smith hit on the idea of ‘great rum doing good’ after visiting one of the famous rum distilleries on the island and seeing nesting sea turtles on a nearby beach.

Every year thousands of newly hatched sea turtles scurry across tropical beaches and disappear beneath the waves, not to be seen again by us for up to a decade, where they go during these ‘lost years’ is one of nature’s great mysteries, but what we do know is that these ancient creatures are today in danger of extinction and, without our help, could soon be lost forever.

Partnering with SEE Turtles a charity that helps save nesting sites across the Caribbean & Latin America, in their first year together, Lost Years Rum and SEE Turtles raised enough money to save over 31,000 sea turtles, with the goal to save over 1 million in the next few years!

True to their mission, they deliver their rum to your door in 100% plastic-free packaging and every bottle sold saves up to ten baby sea turtles!

Vegan-friendly and gluten-free, their Four Island Rum is a blend of an eight-year-old rum from the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, a five-year-old from the Dominican Republic and a two-year-old pot still rum from Jamaica.
