There is something romantic, peaceful and perfect about Tenuta Amadio and also a touch of the fairy tale for this winery has its very own church up on a small hill overlooking it! Splendid wines and a young and innovative brand that has a great chance to increase its production and awareness globally.” Christopher Walkey

A wonderfully warm and sunny late Summers morning I was driven out to the winery of Tenuta Amadio who are located just a short drive North of the historical town of Asolo in the small yet very picturesque region of Monfumo. This stunning area within the Asolo DOCG Prosecco region really is a little gem and holds such wonderful and breathtaking views and surely must rank as one of the worlds most beautiful wine regions. Hills full of nature, trees and perfectly maintained vineyards tells you that this is a wine region that not only will provide some brilliant wines from well positioned vines, but also very much wanting to keep things as kind to nature as possible and not overpopulate the landscape with the business end of things, ie vineyards.

Tenuta Amadio, translated into English means ‘Love of God‘, is such a complete story in both history and location. I was wowed by every new vineyard and view I was shown and the walk up to the small church that the family owns and is still used for celebrations and labelling of bottles is such a charming story to the brand and one of which they use today as their branding.

Idyllic vineyards, wonderful real estate, charming people so could the wines keep up with the pace? I am pleased to say that the tasting I had of their complete range of sparkling wines was superb and topped off with a wonderful table set up outside the winery with far reaching views on to the Asolo slopes. Refreshing range of wines that each were easily identifiable and expressed the rich minerals that the land around this region offers. My reviews are all on Vivino.

The winery is fairly new in order for them to expand on production which currently is at around 100,000 bottles – The vision is to reach 200,000 + annually with the 12 hectares of vineyards they own.

We have made this our mission: looking after the product from soil to bottle, passionately following each stage in production with methodical discipline.” Simone & Silvia Rech.
