48 Champagne Bottles Sabred in 1 minute – New World Record!
2nd January 2015
On New Years Eve, Frank Esposito, manager of Coral House in Baldwin, New York, set the new Guiness World record for the most Champagne bottles sabred in 60 seconds.
Sabring is a technique used to open Champagne bottles using a sword called a sabre. It is usually performed at events and ceremonies.
His score of 48 bottles beat the previous record of 47. There were a few mishaps during the attempt with some bottles exploding or corks not popping, but he still managed to break the record.
