What are some fun fizz resolutions to make 2017 sparkle? Here are a few changes you could try and make this year…

1. Taste English sparkling wine
If you haven’t already, we highly recommend putting it on your to-do list. English bubbly is getting more recognition than ever and is now available at many supermarkets. It tastes amazing (made with the same method as Champagne) and has a delightful English quality.

2. Try a new shop
It’s easy and convenient to go to the local supermarket and grab some bubbly and with supermarkets expanding their ranges it’s better than ever. However, you can unearth some unique tastes and great deals shopping around.
Try your local wine merchant, they will have a good selection and will give helpful advice. There are also plenty of online shops – see more here: Where to Buy Champagne & Sparkling Wine Online?

3. Attend a tasting event/course
For those who have never attended a wine event, 2017 is your year! There’s plenty of Champagne and sparkling wine tastings and courses held across the UK (and around the world). For novices and enthusiasts alike, they’re a great way to learn more about the industry and enjoy some beautiful bubbly.

4. Visit a vineyard
A must-see for everybody at least some point in their life. There’s a chance that there’s a vineyard closer than you think. Within an hour or two of London, there’s many renowned UK sparkling winemakers dotted around Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Wales and the South West.

If you want to go a bit further, you could visit Spain, Italy, France’s famous Champagne region or one of the many Crémant regions. There’s so much to explore!

5. Step out of your comfort zone
It’s great when we find a sparkling wine that’s just ‘gets’ us, but it can be all too easy to limit yourself to the same one every time. With so many new and fascinating sparkling wines coming from all around the world, why not try something different?

6. Treat yourself!
Having a glass of fizz is becoming more of an everyday luxury rather than something reserved for special occasions. Treat yourself and go for a Champagne or sparkling wine more often – not to mention it has fewer calories than red and white wine!
