Moët From 1914 Sells for More Than £10,000 at Sotheby’s

Moët & Chandon is one of the world’s most known and largest Champagne producers with approximately 30 million bottles made annually. The house was established back in 1743 and today owns over 1,000 hectares of vineyards and produces a wide selection of award winning Champagne.

The are many collectors of Champagne across the globe and there are plenty of dedicated companies buying/selling rare fine wines to include Fine Wine auctions houses and Champagne auction websites.

A news story back in 2013 regarding Moët & Chandon includes that a two bottle lot of 1914 vintage Moët & Chandon Champagne sold for £10,340 at Sotheby’s. The sale was part of  of a vintage collection marking the Moët & Chandon Champagne house’s 270th anniversary.

Bottles of Moët from World War I up to 2004  including 174 magnums and three jeroboams, fetched £147,333 in total.
