The Krug 1915 Tasting Experience sold for $116,375 at Sothebys auction in New York, this once in a lifetime experience includes a two day visit to the House of Krug for 4 people, a tour of the vineyards, a vertical tasting of Krug. Dinner at L’Assiette Champenoise, with a special ”Journey in the Krug Universe” tasting and a nights stay.
The Krug Clos du Mesnil Experience will include: Krug Clos du Mesnil 2003, Krug Clos du Mesnil 1998, Krug Clos du Mesnil 1996 and Krug Clos du Mesnil 1985.
The highlight of the tour will be a private visit to the House of Krug & Cellars with the presentation of “ Krug 1915” taken out from its resting place in the Caveau de Collection, opening and tasting of the Krug Private Cuvée 1915, within the cellars and a presentation of the bottle in a specially designed oak box.
The Krug Tasting Experience in the cellar will include:
Krug 1988: Henri Krug’s favorite vintage
Krug 1966: 50th anniversary vintage. So rare, that even Olivier has never been allowed to open a bottle!
Krug 1959: A tribute to Paul Krug’s sense of detail and patience.
Krug 1928: A truly legendary vintage. This will be the first bottle opened at Krug for many years. A tribute to Joseph, Jeanne’s wife and all Krug Lovers.
Krug 1915: 100 years old. One of only four bottles in the cellars at Krug.
