Champagne Mumm will no longer be the sponsor of Formula 1. This is the end of a 15-year sponsorship deal. Since 2000, all Formula One race podiums were supplied with a Jeroboam of GH Mumm Cordon Rogue.

Mumm will remain linked to motorsport, however, having announced a deal with Formula E at the end of last year.

Mumm brand owner Pernod Ricard said in a statement: “We are very proud of our past and have enjoyed 15 years as the official Champagne of Formula 1, seeing great success in terms of visibility and awareness.”

Formula One will instead  bring back Champagne from Moët & Chandon. The first-ever French Grand Prix was held at the Reims-Gueux circuit on 2nd July 1950 and the winner, Juan Manuel Fangio, was presented with a magnum of  Moët & Chandon.

Moët & Chandon owned by Moët Hennesy is already involved in F1 following the September announcement of Chandon’s official partnership with McLaren Honda.
