Pairing Strawberry delights with Slovenian Sparkling Wine.

From the country of love to a romantic strawberry treat, we have two Sparkling Wines and two strawberry delights to enjoy in this article.

Slovenia loves ‘love’, they even have it in their name, SLOVEnia, also their capital is called Ljubljana, which translates into ‘the loved one’, so I thought it was perfect to pair Slovenian Sparkling Wine with a fruit that is also associated with love.

Taste – “The Sparkling Wine adds peach flavours, cancelling out the strawberry and making it a chocolate peach experience.”

Strawberry & Waffles

Taste – “A longer display of flavours, initially white peach then onto sweet waffle.”

If you like peach, then I would definitely recommend you try this sparkling wine, it tastes just like an alcoholised peach.

None of the pairings were out of place, some enhanced the flavours and others cleaned the palate, both of the Slovenian Sparkling Wines performed elegantly with the strawberries.
