Welcome to the world of Fizz Cocktails, they might not always be made in a Classic or Elegant way sometimes they might be made with a bang, but one thing is for sure, they’ll taste delicious.
Feast your eyes on this…
It looks like the redcurrants inside have exploded all over the glass, don’t worry, they haven’t, but they sure will explode with flavour in your mouth, let’s equip our safety goggles and dive into making this Cocktail.
For any Fizzy Cocktail, the main ingredient is a Sparkling Wine and this time we have an amazing 2015 vintage Rosé Sparkling Wine from Slovenia.

It doesn’t just have a gorgeous label or a mesmerizing Rosé colour, it has been around since 2015 to be opened by you and enjoyed. When making this Cocktail, definitely pop open this bottle and pour yourself a glass, you’ll get to taste how the years of hard work have paid off, just be careful not to finish the bottle before we get started on the Cocktail

Aroma – “Creamy red berries, tomato leaves and succulent raspberries on the aroma.”
Flavour – “Dry flavours, with red berries tomatoes, yeast and zesty peach on the palate.”

Now it’s time to prepare the Cocktail, set in motion the countdown to when the explosive flavours will touch your lips.
The Explosive Red Berry Fizz Cocktail
For this Cocktail, you will need to following ingredients.
- Rebula Rosa (Sparkling Wine)
- Chambord (Sweet Raspberry Liquere)
- Red Sugar
- Red Berries
- Honey
It’s not easy to find red sugar, so I enlisted help from The Salty Rim co. using their number #9 tin, Brazen Red Cocktail Sugar, the quality is outstanding in both the sugars and salts which they produce, but also the packaging which contains it. They currently have #12 different tins available, including different colours and flavours, so check them out.
How To Make The Explosive Red Berry Fizz Cocktail
- First, grab your honey and spread a small amount of it around the rim of your glass.
- Tip some of your sugar onto a plate and roll the rim of your glass around until the rim is covered in sugar, it doesn’t matter if the honey and sugar start dripping down the side, that’s will help make it look explosive.
- Now pour a drop of Chambord, this stuff is sweet, so you don’t need a lot, you could also use Grenadine or any other sweet syrup you have.
- Top up with the sparkling wine.
- Now for the explosive part, drop in a healthy handful of small redcurrants and watch the thing bubble, just like an underwater explosion or erupting volcano.
Now it’s time to taste, either as the bubbles are still going or after it’s settled down, that’s up to you.

Aroma – “Sweet red sugar, concentrated red berries and honey on the aroma.”
Flavour – “A sweet burst starts off the experience, like seeing an explosion from afar, the sound then hits with silky red berries, redcurrants, ripe raspberries and strawberries, then if you bite down on a redcurrant you get the aftershock or sharp red berry flavours.”
This was an amazing Cocktail, perfect for anyone who loves to enjoy some red berries, a combination of sweet and dry, working in their own time slots during the ride, a well balanced red berry Cocktail that’s worth creating.
