Purple Clouds Cocktail

You may know of the famous song, ‘Purple Rain’ performed by the legendary Prince, in this feature, we’ll be making and drinking a cocktail on a slightly different purple scale, titled ‘Purple Clouds’ sweet, smooth and elegant, crafted with Welsh Vodka and Croatian Sparkling Wine.

A Winery from the wonderful Sparkling Wine producing country of Croatia, with a vast and delicious history, Croatian Sparkling Wines aren’t often experienced outside of the country, they even say that the best Croatian Sparkling Wines never leave the country, well, it seems that this little gem slipped through and made its way to the Glass of Bubbly Awards, taking home a Silver Medal, produced in the Traditional Method, this Sparkling Wine is well worth a taste.

Aroma – “Dried apricot and peaches, yellow fruits, yeasty and freshly baked pastries, notes of citrus, dried lemon, lemon on pancakes, and more on the palate.”

• Sparkling Wine
• Vodka
• Grenadine
• Lime Syrup
• Thyme

How To Make The Purple Clouds

• 15mls of Vodka
• 5mls of Grenadine
• 50mls of Sparkling Wine
• 20mls of Lime Syrup
• 1 Twig of Thyme

Purple Clouds Cocktail Tasting Notes

Aroma – “A warmth from the aroma, with sweet delicate notes of red berries, wheat, rye, thyme, dried apricot and a bouquet of purple flowers on the aroma.”

Flavour – “Sweet and rich with warmth from the Vodka, maturity from the traditional method sparkling wine gifting dried apricots, with ripe notes of red berries, wheat and rye on the aroma.”
