Tell Us About Yourself
“I am from Rome, ex computer science engineer of 40 years old; 16 years ago I decided to leave is own career for change life and come back to study oenology and viticulture for the passion of wine and food Italian culture.
Since I finished the studies I started to travelling around the world for making wine. Actually I am working between Italy and Argentina, I did already 29 harvest on 2 hemisphere and I am on the door of 30th.”
How Did You Become Involved In The Wine Industry?
“During my master degree in engineering for computer science in Pisa I went to Slow food award with the best 350 wines of Italy. I tasted a lot of armazing wines but I can’t forget a glass of Amarone Quintarelli Riserva 1996, I was totally stunned.”
As A Winemaker, What Has Been Your Hardest Obstacle To Overcome In Producing Wine?
“Doing a large amount of bottles without SO2 and any without other chemistry product. In fact have good grapes It is not enough to do a god wine without microbiology problems.”
How Do You Determine When Your Wine Is Ready To Drink?
“It is necessary have a good experience of own wines evolution; usually we are doing a blind taste with our team before deciding if the wine is ready to drink.”
What Part Of The Wine Making Process Do You Enjoy The Most?
“Without doubts the harvest and blending the different lots.”
Where’s The Most Memorable Place You’ve Enjoyed A Glass of Bubbly?
“At home with my girlfriend.”
