Beetlejuice Cocktail
31st October 2024
While waiting to be processed, why not sit down and enjoy one of the afterlife’s Signature Cocktails? The Beetlejuice Cocktail is being served by our resident headless bartender, made with Betleguese Gin Liqueur and Annick Bubbly Rosé, it’ll help pass the millenniums.
Beetlejuice was released on the 30th of March 1988, in the United States by Warner Bros. With a budget of $15 million, it brought in over $84 million. The second film, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice released on the 6th of September 2024, created on a budget of $100 million and made $335 million worldwide.
Although it took 36 years for the world to receive a sequel to the highly successful Beetlejuice, a sequel was actually fast-tracked by The Geffen Film Company and in 1990, two separate Beetlejuice sequel scripts were commissioned. The first script was titled Beetlejuice in Love, with the basis of the story being that Betelgeuse meets Leo, who plummets to his death while proposing to his girlfriend, Julia, on the Eiffel Tower. When Leo enters the afterlife, Betelgeuse escapes to the world of the living and pursues Julia.
The second script was written by Jonathan Gems who was hired by Tim Burton, to write a potential Beetlejuice sequel titled Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian, with the plot being that the Deetz family move to Hawaii, where Charles is developing a resort. They discover that his company is building on the burial ground of an ancient Hawaiian Kahuna. The spirit comes back from the afterlife to cause trouble, and Betelgeuse becomes a hero by winning a surf contest with magic. You can discover more on Wikipedia.
Both leading actors, Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder agreed to reprise their roles for the film, as long as Tim Burton was directing, but during this time, both Burton and Keaton became occupied with Batman Returns.
The Sparkling Wine – Annick Bubbly Rosé
Annick Ethic Drinks produces their Italian Low Alcohol Sparkling Wine with organic grapes, no added sugar, additives or preservatives included.
The creation of Annick Bubbly Rosé was in fact the answer to an unanswered question “What can we order in a bar/restaurant when we don’t feel like an alcoholic drink or soda/coffee?’
The idea popped into Annick’s mind of creating a fruit-based sparkling wine, but in order to make it, she needed to find a different way of producing it.
After 3 years of research, she thanked David Volterrani from San Miniato who provided her with his facilities and know-how to develop a new method to produce a natural sparkling drink with a very low alcohol content.
Stopping the process at 1.5% alcohol content, gave her Annick Bubbly Rosé the chance to be enjoyed at any time, by anyone.
