Dropmore Vineyard
10th February 2026
Dropmore Vineyard is a love story of one man and his wife’s vision to create a small and perfectly formed vineyard, nestled on the fringes of Buckinghamshire’s Burnham Beeches. Inspired by a visit to New Zealand’s Marlborough wine region, with its entrepreneurial and idiosyncratic vineyards, the late founder John Petersen and his wife Feona set about creating from scratch, in 2008, an English vineyard in their own backyard.
Today, Feona Petersen runs the vineyard, continuing to develop the legacy created by her husband. From its 5 grape varietals – Bacchus, Chardonnay, Ortega, Meunier and Pinot Noir – the vineyard produces two award-winning English Sparkling wines.
Classic Cuvée Brut 2021 – Trophy winner in the Sea Breeze category at the Glass of Bubbly Awards 2025.
Gentle orchard fruits in aroma. Salty, mineral character with white floral notes. A tangy finish.
Sparkling Rosé 2021 – Silver Medal winner in the Summer Days category.
A touch of elderflower and hedgerow on the nose. Really nice red berries, cranberry, raspberry and strawberry on the palate with a touch of brioche.
