It is rumoured that Louis Roederer are looking to buy vineyards in the UK and have been looking at the South of England.
Louis Roederer, producer of Cristal already produce sparkling wine at the Roederer Estate in Anderson Valley in California and may now be looking to expand into the English sparkling wine market.
English sparkling wine is growing in international recognition so would be a good time for them as they look to expand their acquisitions outside of France.
The Louis Roederer House has remained an independent, family-owned company and is now managed by Frédéric Rouzaud, who represents the seventh generation of the lineage.
