Around The World Sparkling Wine Cocktail

Pack your bags, grab your passport, and let’s travel the world, it’s time to venture into the unknown, the magical and spectacular, in exploration of the world’s endless wonders, but before we start our journey, let’s craft an original Glass of Bubbly Cocktail to see us off, let’s craft the Around The World Cocktail.

The Sparkling Wine – Mastnak

When Zdravko Mastnak looks out of the Bizeljsko-Sremič hills, he says: “In this environment, I was born, here my ancestors lived; I live now and with me a new wine cellar with all the charms and with all the energy that my wine soul could comprehend”.

Zdravko Mastnak is the creator of Mastnak wines, he is an enologist and agronomy engineer, dedicating his life to crafting top-quality Slovenian Sparkling Wines, located in Zajčja Gora, above Sevnica.

Over 27 years of history sits behind Mastnak, with the capacity to produce 4000 bottles a day and to store 300,000 bottles in their cellar which is open to visitors to explore on guided tours.

That’s not all, you can also plan your wedding at the venue, with catering services available, but for something a little more low-key, you can look around their winery shop and buy direct for a cheaper price.

Vinska Klet Mastnak – Valentina Dry Suho – Tasting Notes

Flavour – “A mixture of soft ripe and almost ripe peaches and apricots, yellow floral, buttercup flowers, lemon zest, lemon juice, with a low profile zesty and zingy lemon finish on the palate.”

The Gin – Atlas

Founded by Paul Martin in Lincolnshire, the Atlas Gin story begins in Edinburgh, right after Paul discovered his passion for Gin, becoming fascinated with the flavours and how adding the perfect mixer added life and depth to the botanicals within a good gin

When Paul traveled back home to Lincolnshire, he got started on crafting his own blend of Gins, exploring new ideas and experimenting with unique botanical, he took inspiration from the flavours of the world, then infusing only the finest botanicals for 24 hours, so that the flavours can be fully released. Their gin is one shot distilled in a copper still, to ensure that it’s smoother on the palate and to ensure nothing impairs the flavour profile.

It’s not the quickest or easiest way to make gin – but it’s the way they like to do things, after all, it’s an adventure!

I reached out to the founder, Paul Martin to ask him a question, ‘What Was The Inspiration Behind Your Incredible Label Design?’

“I wanted something that captured voyages, travel, and discovery. I designed the branding myself, I am very critical of my own work and it took a few rounds of designs to get it to where I was happy. My gins are all about the Spirit of Adventure, each bottle comes with a travel tag, on the back is the perfect serve information and batch number and date.” – Paul Martin

Atlas Chai Gin – Tasting Notes

Aroma – “Nurtured juniper berries, green cardamom, cinnamon and cloves delicately touch the aroma.”

Flavour – “Warming the palate with a combination of sweet and spice, with green cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and more, a lasting finish with a spicy touch.”

The true history of Chai has been lost in time, but ancient folklore suggests that the original version of this warm and welcoming drink has royal roots and was created by a King for his court to enjoy.
