Visit Astley Vineyard

Where to Enjoy a Glass of Bubbly in Cambridge

Astley Vineyard is a family run, single estate vineyard in Worcestershire. They are one of the oldest vineyards in the UK, located in the beautiful Severn Valley, just 10 miles north of the cathedral city of Worcester.

They produce roughly six thousand bottles of boutique wine per year.

Join them for a tour of their peaceful vineyard in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside. An educational but relaxed afternoon out.

Enjoy an introduction to Astley Vineyard’s history, accompanied by a welcome drink, followed by a short walk to the vineyard via their beautiful wooded valley, where you will walk and talk amongst the vines, introducing you to their grape varieties and basic viticulture.

Then enjoy a glass of wine at their pavilion, which overlooks the vineyard and the beautiful Severn Valley. Followed by a quick look in their winery to talk about basic winemaking.

And finally, a sit down guided-tasting of three of their award winning wines, alongside samples of local produce.

After your tour, why not stay for a glass of wine on their terrace or Wine Garden?

Discover their Freya 2021, which won a Silver Medal in the Herbal Garden category at the Glass of Bubbly Awards 2025.

Tasting notes: Herbaceous green bell pepper on the nose with fennel, nettles, cut grass, pine resin and a hint of black pepper. Slightly unusual but enticing. Herbal accent on the palate with greengage, green apple and a touch of orange blossom.
