Let’s Meet The Bartender!
“I’m Kaung Zaw from Myanmar. I’ve been working in F&B industry since 2014. I’ve worked as a bartender in Restaurants, bars and hotels. I got the 1st runners up title in Myanmar Monin cup 2018. In 2019, I was nominated as a finalist in the Campari Competition. I worked as a bartender in the Dubai nightlife industry for around 4 years. Now I’m working for the biggest F&B company Solutions Leisure Group, in one of the amazing venues, Japanese restaurant KOYO and I got the title of bartender winner inter-venue competition 2022 in four fantastic outlets.
My experience is to make customers whoever they may be who come to my bar happy and enjoy professional hospitality. I love to work behind the bar. My favourite cocktail would be a twist to a great classic cocktail and it is the Pegu Club.” – Kaung Zaw
What was the inspiration behind your Fizzy Pegu Club Cocktail?
“I got inspiration from the Pegu Club’s origins which date back to the early 20th Century in Myanmar (Burma), and to the club of the same name located just outside of Rangoon my hometown in what is now called (Yangon). I did a twist on the old classic Pegu Club cocktail to create another style, the Fizzy Pegu Club cocktail. Cheers!” – Kaung Zaw

Ingredients
- Bulldog Gin
- Triple Sec
- Grapefruit Sour Mix
- Angostura Bitters
- Grapefruit Bitters
- Prosecco
How To Make The Fizzy Pegu Club Cocktail
- Bulldog Gin 45 ml
- Triple Sec 15 ml
- Grapefruit Sour Mix – 30 ml
- Angostura Bitter -1 dash
- Grapefruit Bitter -1 dash
- Top up with Prosecco
- Garnish with grapefruit zest
