“I’m 24. I have been working as a bartender for 4 years. I live in Bodrum, Turkey. My father ran a restaurant. I met alcohol there and bartending was my childhood dream. Now I am fulfilling that dream. Now I am working at Lujo Art and Joy. I am improving myself further.” – Özgürcan Aydınlı
What was the inspiration behind Freedom of the Roses and when did you first make it?
“I made this cocktail last year. My nickname is Freedom. I made this cocktail for a beautiful woman. That’s why I used the name Rose. When I combined it with my own name, “Freedom of Roses” came out. Afterwards, I liked the cocktail very much. And I started to offer it to the guests constantly.”
The Recipe For Freedom of the Roses
Ingredients
- Homemade Lavender Cordial
- Strawberry and Basil Aperol İnfuse
- Malfy Rosa
- Lemon juice
- Sugar Syrup
- Sparkling Wine (Top-up)
- Garniture: Edible Flower
How To Make The Freedom of the Roses Cocktail
- Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice.
- 40 ml Strawberry And basil Aperol İnfuse
- 20 ml Malfy Rosa
- 10 ml Lavanta Cordial
- 20 ml Lemon Juice
- 10 ml Sugar Syrup
- Shake and pour into a snifter glass
- Top up with Champagne (80mls)
