Bolney Wine Estate – Cuvée Rosé 2014 Vintage – Gold Fruity & Floral

14th December 2017

Congratulations to Bolney Wine Estate with their Cuvée Rosé 2014 Vintage which received a Gold medal at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly awards 2017.

A panel of 36 top industry wine judges tasted all the entries for 2017 and were able to not only scores wines with medals, but also place them in to easy to understand categories such as Fruity & Floral: “A wine that is likely to show fruity flavours such as apples to red berry fruits and mixed with aromas of varied common flower petals such as rose and acacia.

Tasting notes -Traditional method quality sparkling wine with a fine mousse, tightly beaded. On the nose a touch of yeast with notes of raspberry and wild strawberry.

Food match – Cheese and some red berry desserts.

“One of the longest established English vineyards and been making award winning English wines at Bolney Wine Estate for over 35 years. Started with white wines but decided to focus on red wines as they saw a real potential for making quality lighter red wines similar in style to the best New Zealand Pinot Noirs. Their sparkling English wines have been particularly successful, winning gold medals as people realise their sparkling wines are as good as, and sometimes even better than, the best Champagnes, which is hardly surprising given that they follow the same traditional method as is used to produce Champagne! They also have sandstone soils which are perfect for growing vines!” Quote from website
