Boutinot Buys Henners English Sparkling Wine
16th March 2017
Henners Vineyard in Sussex has been bought by Boutinot for an undisclosed sum.
Henners Vineyard was set up in 2007 by Lawrence Warr, a former Formula One engineer.
Henners now has ten acres of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier vines and produce three English sparkling wines – vintage, vintage resérve and a rosé.
Boutinot, a UK agent and importer have been distributing Henners English sparkling wine for the last five years.
They already produce wines in France and South Africa, but this is their first time in the English wine market. The Henners winemaking team will work with Boutinot’s head winemaker Eric Monnin.
