Bubblegum Cocktail

The flavours of bubblegum bring back fond memories of times past, of childhood adventures and it provides a sweet reminder of the joys of life, it’s not often seen in the world of spirits, but Lockdown Distillery has put their hat in the ring in crafting some unique flavours, including their Bubblegum Gin, we’ll be combining this with a bottle of Penine Simonič Sparkling Wine, perfectly smooth and fruity, a great choice for a First Date, we’re going to combine these two in Glass of Bubbly’s Bubblegum Cocktail.

The Sparkling Wine

The story of Penine Simonič begins in the late 1990s, when Ivan Simonič decided to focus on making Sparkling Wine, he became the first Sparkling Wine producer in Bela Krajina, and the first bottle of Semiška Penina was crafted in 2000.

Aroma – “Smooth, almost creamy golden fruits, ripe white peaches, pear drops and pear blossom delicately touch on the aroma.”

Flavour – “Very smooth, silky, golden and white fruits, grapefruit, persimmon, and more fruits from the exotic side of the world, with notes of foliage and white floral on the palate.”

• Bubblegum Gin
• Sparkling Wine
• Ginger Syrup
• Lemon Juice

How To Make The Bubblegum Cocktail

• 15mls of Gin
• 100mls of Sparkling Wine
• 5mls of Ginger Syrup
• A Dash of Lemon Juice

Bubblegum Cocktail Tasting Notes

Aroma – “A bubblegum river or joyous aromas, hints of lemon and ginger along with smooth pear drops.”

Flavour – “Fizzy pear lemon, with sherbety bubblegum, pear drops and blueberry laces on the palate, a tingly sensation from the ginger syrup sticks around until your next sip!”
