Bubbles and Design Come Together for Milano Design Week featuring Prosecco DOC
18th April 2023
Bubbles, design and music come together in a vibrant week featuring Prosecco DOC
If during past editions of Milano Design Week, the southeast area of Milan was not mentioned in the itineraries of Fuorisalone, this year thanks to Prosecco DOC, that will change. This area will become a new highlight on the maps of design lovers as well as others present in the city during the most dynamic week of the year. Until April 22 in the cultural hub of House of Mediterraneo – at Via Cadolini 19 – the Terrazza Prosecco comes to life, where bubbles, design and music mark the frenetic rhythm of the days in a sensory experience of conviviality and entertainment.
“Terrazza Prosecco House of Mediterraneo,” says Prosecco DOC Consortium President Stefano Zanette, “represents for us an important showcase in Milan, a dynamic and creative city where food, art, culture and entertainment come together to best interpret Italian excellence. And what better occasion if not Design Week, to enliven the Terrace with the renowned Veneto-Friuli bubbles of Prosecco DOC meeting exponents from the world of music and design and affirming once again the importance of exalting Italian Genius in a context with a strong international scope.”
A parterre of unique events to celebrate the link between wine and beauty through a new and unprecedented presence of Prosecco DOC in Milan. On the evenings of Tuesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 20, the Terrace is open to everyone from 6 to 8 p.m. to enjoy a glass of bubbly to the rhythm of Emma Iovino’s DJ Set; while the other days feature guests of the caliber of Dargen D’Amico, Roy Paci and Chef Federico Sisti.
The general theme of the event is the pleasure of meeting and being together in such a dynamic, international and cosmopolitan setting as the Salone del Mobile, all paired with a good glass of Prosecco DOC.
There is no absence of a connection with design; in fact, the Terrace will host furniture designed by Potocco, a Friuli-based company specializing in the production of indoor and outdoor furniture.
In addition, as a testament to Prosecco DOC’s desire to be a voice for increasingly vibrant creativity and mingling of the worlds of art and beverage, designer Giorgio Romairone was involved in creating a special collection of wine glasses with different shapes and shades of color.
The designer worked with Studio 6:AM on a project of aesthetic value and content that could be handcrafted. The creative idea starts from the inspiration of the Tipetto, a typical Venetian glass born in the 1700s. The workmanship echoes the historical workings of Murano glass, but the bevante, like those of today’s goblets, is retained to create a contrast of shapes.
Raise your glasses, ready to toast to an exciting new Milano Design Week with Prosecco DOC: the appointment is until April 22 at Via Cadolini 19 in the Terrazza Prosecco at House of Mediterraneo, home of Tuorlo Media.
