Sparkling Angel – First Sparkling Wine by Viña Montes
Sparkling Angel is the first sparkling wine to be made by Viña Montes in Chile and is now available in the UK. Sparkling Angel is brut in style and is made using the tradionelle method. The wine spends a grand total of 36 months on the lees. The blend is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, the grapes are grown in Zapallar, an area just seven kilometres from the Pacific, with a pronounced maritime influence. “Sparkling Angel is the result of a great team effort at the winery,” says Aurelio Montes Sr. The grapes from Zapallar give elegance and character, with three years on the lees results in a wine of real finesse.” Winemaker’s tasting notes: “A subtle sparkling wine, with fine, long-lasting bubbles and distinctive notes of walnut, dried fruit and toasted breadcrumbs.”…
