Celebrate English Wine Week with Camel Valley

27th May 2015

The Lindo Family and vineyard team invite you to enjoy some history and ‘Camel Valley in a glass’ during the 2015 English Wine Week, 25-30 May 2015.

Sam Lindo says: ‘As well as doing tours and wine by the glass at the vineyard, we will be encouraging as many of our trade friends as possible to offer Camel Valley wines by the glass.’

In addition, Bob Lindo will be conducting a history tour of the farm and vineyards at Camel Valley for walkers. The Lindo Family has lived and worked at Camel Valley since 1982, when there was neither road access nor running water.

Added Bob: ‘It’s often forgotten that the vineyard is situated within a historic farm, near a Roman fort, mines, and a famous disused railway line – the train journey from Bodmin was one of the late Sir John Betjeman’s favourites. With a lake, a river, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and some very steep hills to climb and enjoy the fabulous views of the surrounding countryside.

The History Tour is 10am on Tuesday 26 May and is aimed at active walkers.
