Celebrate English Wine Week with Hush Heath

Hush Heath is all set to celebrate English Wine Week (28 May-5 June) with a number of events; this campaign is designed to raise awareness of English wine across the country.

Owner Richard Balfour-Lynn will host two dinners at Hush Heath Hospitality venues in Kent, while sales director Hilary Green will welcome guests at establishments in Central London. During each wine dinner, guests will be guided through a tasting of five of Hush Heath Estate’s wines which includes two sparkling wines. The wines will each be paired with a dish from a carefully selected menu.

Each evening is priced at £25 per person and will begin at 7:30pm with a glass of award-winning Balfour Brut Rosé, followed by a three course dinner at one of Hush Heath Hospitality’s venues. (Please note that St Bart’s will be serving a crowd-pleasing selection of delicious canapés)

The Goudhurst Inn, Cranbrook,  Tuesday 31st May
Pre-dinner drinks can be taken on one of the terraces with stunning views over the Weald of Kent. Dinner will then take place in the conservatory. The menu includes dishes such as a starter of Smoked Salmon Rillettes served with an Apple & Fennel Salad and Melba Toast. The Tickled Trout, West Farleigh, Wednesday 1st June
The intimacy and elegance of the restaurant and bar area at The Tickled Trout are the perfect platform to enjoy this event. St Bart’s Brewery, Farringdon, Wednesday 1st June
Right next to Smithfield Meat Market is Hush Heath Hospitality’s bar and restaurant, St Bart’s Brewery. The Head Chef has paired wines with five courses of canapés including Crab with Avocado Salad En Croute Crab Beignet and Mango Salsa, served with Balfour Brut Rosé 2011 on arrival. As part of English Wine Week, Hush Heath is hosting free tours on Monday 30 May and Sunday 5 June. These will start at 11am and last for 2.5 hours with a guided tour of the Estate and winery followed by a tutored tasting.
