Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Champagne

8th February 2024

Coupes de Champagne

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, there is no better time to celebrate the ones you love. Be it a partner or a group of close friends, nothing says ‘I love you’ quite like Champagne, the absolute pinnacle of sparkling wine.

Champagne continues to be the centrepiece for some of the most prestigious venues in London, with new bars specifically dedicated to Champagne opening throughout London. As such, The Champagne Bureau UK* have put together a list of the best places to drink Champagne this Valentine’s Day throughout the capital, alongside a guide into various Champagne styles.

Champagne Styles

Champagne is timeless and versatile, and with a range of styles on offer, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Rosé Champagne is a popular choice for Valentine’s Day thanks to its pink hue and ‘Instagrammable’ appeal. Not only this, but its notes of red berries and yellow fruits pair incredibly well with a range of dishes, from lobster, to poultry.

Vintage Champagne is perfect for any exceptional occasion. These wines are matured for a minimum of three years and exhibit nutty and toasted aromas, as well as honey and stewed fruits. The calibre of these wines and the complexity bought to them by ageing makes them a wonderful addition to your Valentine’s Day Celebrations.

This Valentine’s Day falls on a Wednesday which is Soul night at Louie and couples can experience the profound notes of the best Soul music, while enjoying a drink or cocktail at the bar.
