Celebrity Interview: Carol Smillie

Television presenting is the mainstay of Carol’s career and since her early days on Wheel of Fortune she has worked on a wide range of shows including The Travel Show, Summer Holiday and Holiday Swaps, followed by becoming the face of The National Lottery for three years.

However, the show she will always be known for is BBC television’s Changing Rooms, the flagship DIY programme which changed the face of British television as we know it today. The programme earned Carol invitations to Buckingham Palace and Downing Street.
She has since published her own book,’Carol Smillie’s Working Mum’s Handbook’

2012 has marked a change in direction as Carol launched her new business ‘DiaryDoll’ with friend and ex-tennis champion Annabel Croft.

Glass of Bubbly Interview

Where’s the most memorable place you’ve enjoyed a Glass of Bubbly?
In Cloud 9, the highest bar in the world in Shanghai, on the 87th floor!

Which is your favourite Champagne or sparkling wine?
I’m a Prosecco girl, the lighter the better, I’m afraid. I also love a splash of Kir in there too sometimes.

What does Champagne mean to you?
A: Success
B: Celebration
C: Romance
D: Enjoying great company

It’s about the small celebrations, not always the big ones. Treating yourself after a long week at work, or sharing in someone else’s achievements. Pretty much ALL of these!
