Champagne Bouche Pere et Fils – Grande Réserve Vintage 2005 – Trophy Vintage
30th November 2017
Congratulations to Champagne Bouche Pere et Fils with their Grand Réserve Vintage 2005 which received a Trophy at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly awards 2017.
A panel of 36 top industry wine judges tasted all the entries for 2017 and were able to not only scores wines with medals, but also place them in to easy to understand categories such as Vintage: “Serious wine with highly complex aromas and a lengthy taste explosion of many layers. usually will offer a toasty tasting experience, deep golden colour and fine bubbles.”
Located just South of Epernay you’ll find Champagne Bouché Père & Fils and here we have a very splendid example of the 2005 vintage. The wine offers typical yeasty and toasty brioche aromas along with bruised red apples and hazelnut. The taste is a fine mixture of toast, honey, acacia flower and stone fruits flavours.
“Champagne Bouché is a family business since four generations. The estate was founded by Abel Bouché, a vine-grower. His son, Pierre, decided to become a winemaker in 1945.
Now the winery is run by José and his son, Nicolas. José has 40 years experience in winemaking, Nicolas is a graduate enologist.
Since four generation, the same passion for the Champagne…” Quote from website.
“To win a trophy in our awards is some fine achievement, especially as our awards, are totally blind tasting format and we had 36 international wine judges to decide which of the many entries topped their category. Many wines will give that vintage aroma and taste so for Champagne Bouché to end up top of the pile certainly deserves toasting with a glass of their bubbly!” Christopher Walkey
